What to Do Until You See Us

Taking a few simple steps can help protect your smile and reduce discomfort.

Broken or Fractured Tooth: Rinse gently with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Avoid chewing on that side.
Knocked-Out Tooth: Handle the tooth by the crown only. If possible, place it back in the socket or store it in milk. Call us immediately.
Loose or Dislodged Tooth: Avoid touching the tooth and refrain from chewing on that side. Contact us right away.
Lost Filling or Crown: Cover the area with temporary dental cement if available and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Abscess or Infection: Rinse gently with warm salt water and call our office immediately. Swelling or fever should never be ignored.
